"One Day Itinerary"

If you have only one day to visit Angkor, then bad luck, but a good itinerary would be Angkor Wat for sunrise. To miss the crowd, from there continue directly to the tree roots of Ta Promh temple, featured in the movie, the Tomb Raider and then Banteay Kdei temple.

After that, come back to your hotel for breakfast and start again around 9:30AM to visit some more temples at Angkor Thom city such as Bayon temple or four-faced temple and you could also visit Baphuon, Phimeanakas temple, Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King. Then, head east to Ta Keo temple, decorated temple-mountain dedicated to Shiva. At 2PM continue your journey to the great world wonder of Angkor Wat and go for the sunset at Bakheng Mountain around 4PM to see the whole view of Angkor Wat and Siem Reap town.
